Book Review: Sharing The Good News with Mormons

Recently, I had the privilege of getting an early copy of Sharing the Good News with Mormons by Eric Johnson and Dr. Sean McDowell. As a Protestant who converses with LDS missionaries on a regular basis and actively teaches on Mormonism, I was thrilled to get a chance to write a review of this book. It's the best book on sharing your faith with mormons on the market, and I don’t say that lightly. I have even created some of my own material and I still think their book is the best one out!

Here are five reasons why you should have this book in your library:

1. The book has 24 unique methods, utilizing different peoples gifts and strengths to most effectively share the gospel with mormons. 
2. Each method is written by someone who is actually using that method in their own ministry to mormons and is seeing the fruit of it. This results in real-life stories from those individuals, not possibilities that have yet to be seen.
3. The book has the highest caliber of scholarship backing it’s pages. From J. Warner Wallace, Dr. Robert Bowman Jr., to ex-mormons such as Sandra Tanner and Dr. Lynn K. Wilder the book is filled with a knowledge base that can’t be surpassed.
4. As an apologist, I am interested in facts and details that will help me buttress my arsenal to present the best case possible to a mormon of the falsity of the claims of the Book of Mormon. This book did not let me down.
5. Lastly, more than simply information, the book shows multiple, practical ways of how to go about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ to a mormon.
